Where do students meet on Wednesday nights?
Students meet at our RealLife Church campus on Wednesday nights. We have youth service in the main sanctuary. Students will register in the foyer when they walk in and can hang out with other students outside where we have activities set up and in our kid’s area room during our pre-service hangout time beginning at 6:00 pm.
Are there special events or trips for students to participate in?
Yes! There are multiple events for students to participate in throughout the year. We have a Fine Arts Festival, where students can discover, develop, and deploy the gifts that God has given them. We also have a Youth Conference in the Fall and a Youth Summer Camp in the summer. As we get closer to those dates, more information on these events will become available to the students and parents.
Why do students gather with the adults in Sunday morning services?
We believe in the importance of youth attending and serving together with their families on Sunday mornings. We want students to know that this is their church now and into their future! Being a part of our Sunday services will help them build relationships that will be impactful as they transition from youth to young adults. There are also many opportunities for students to serve in our Sunday services and begin to develop the gifts God has placed inside of them. They don’t have to wait until they are adults to become involved.
Is there a cost for RealLife Youth programs?
RealLife Youth is free on Wednesday nights! The only cost is what students spend at our snack bar. There is a cost for any event we attend outside of Wednesday nights throughout the year, such as our Fine Arts Festival, Youth Conference, and Summer Youth Camp. Information on costs for these events will become available when advertising begins.
Who drives students if the youth group travels offsite?
Our youth leaders or parents of the students will be the ones who drive our students if we must travel offsite. These leaders or parents will be adults who have gone through our background check process and have been cleared to do so.
Are RealLife Youth’s adult volunteers background checked?
Yes! The safety of our students is our top priority. Every volunteer in our youth ministry has gone through a background check and has been cleared by the pastoral staff to serve in our RealLife Youth services. We have safety procedures for our adults to follow for all areas of the church.
